Compass Park, previously known as the Indiana Masonic Home, was renamed in 2015. While the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation (IMHF) retains its original name, changes may have occurred in residency criteria and assistance programs since the last update. Please visit their website for the most current information: Compass Park.
Residency Plans and Eligibility:
Compass Park offers three types of residency plans:
Fraternal Plan (Turnover of Assets)Â - Guarantees care even if funds are exhausted.
Entry Fee Plan - Similar to the Fraternal plan, with long-term care assurances.
Rental Plan - Residents pay monthly but have no lifetime care guarantee.
Eligibility criteria differ based on the plan. Fraternal residency is open to Master Masons, members of the Order of Eastern Star (OES), and their immediate family members who meet specific criteria. Divorce severs eligibility, and a widow who remarries before applying is no longer considered a Masonic widow.
For non-Masons or individuals without Masonic/OES ties, options like the 90% Return on Capital Plan or rental plans are available, but life care is not included.
Visiting Residents and Admissions:
Lodges are encouraged to visit residents and provide support, such as cards, gifts, and personal visits, particularly for those in healthcare. Planning trips to Compass Park is welcomed, and lodges should be familiar with contacts at Franklin for assistance.
Payer Sources and Levels of Care:
Compass Park offers a variety of services for individuals 18 and older, including:
Medicare, Medicaid, VA, United Healthcare, Anthem
Short-term rehab, long-term care, memory care, hospice, and respite care
They also provide home health services in 12 counties, accepting Medicare, Medicaid, and other managed care plans.
